My English before UNI

I have been learning English since I was 10 years old. Despite having terrible teachers at the primary school I always liked the language. I started to show real interest when I went to secondary school. I was never the best student but I didn’t fear speaking and making mistakes. I think It’s good to make mistakes because it’s the only way how to be able to correct them.
However, the amount of time I really studied English is small. I learned the vocabulary mostly from American movies, a series and songs. And I practiced my communication skills by interacting with foreigners in France, where I lived for one year. For all these reasons above I got used to speak with Czech-American-British-French accent with several mistakes.
